So, I’d like for you to join in and leave a comment on who you think could play whatever part you want. It would be awesome if you’d include links.
I’ll go first. That being said, I don’t have a huge knowledge bank of up and coming actors. Forgive me if I’m repetative.

ReplyDeleteAnon: Well like I said, I don't know that many younger (teen-ish) actors. So instead of just saying I chose the wrong "Peeta" tell me who is the right one.

I actually like your Peeta choice. For once, someone is going in the right direction with this. Maybe he isn't perfect, but everyone keeps picking stars like Sterling Knight and I'm sorry but Peeta is a bakers son, wrestles and is a heavy lifter (one hundred pound sack of flour if I remember correctly) and no way in the world is Sterling Knight and the actors like him everyone keeps picking ever going to be able to fit a shorter stockier built boy with muscle. Plus everyone keeps complaining that they are too old. ITS HOLLYWOOD PEOPLE. They hardly ever cast the right aged people, they usually go mid twenties for people aged 16 to 18 so I think everyone needs to stop picking so young, especially for the boys because they are going to want to use boys that look older and manlier.
ReplyDeleteI love your picks. You're the first person I actually agree with completely. I only have one very minor problems that has to do with Who you chose for Katniss. She's just TOO pretty. Katniss needs to be ugly and this person looks attractive. Don't get me wrong though, I am on the scholastic message boards for The Hunger Games, and seen other Katniss picks and yours is definately the best I'v seen. I can't think of my own because I also hope they get a undiscovered actress for the role. Someone completely new who will look identical and "be" Katniss. But, this is my only complaint. I LOVE Alex Pettyfer for Peeta. I first discovered Pettyfer through that message board and (me being Team Peeta and loving blonds) have never seen a hotter guy. EVER, and I'm a 15-year old girl. If he doesn't get the role I might cry. Have you seen his face? So, yes I love your picks and I love how none of them are Disney related. Again I think this movie needs not the "biggest" stars in production, but the best and if the actors can match their personalities to their characters as their looks, then I'm SO ready for 2011. (BTW I count the DAYS til Mockingjay comes out :D)

I'm not saying "ugly" but I don't want some flawless looking girl to playing Katniss, she's from district 12, the poorest of the districts, and she dosen't care what she looks like...I think katniss should just look like a normal girl next door type...

I also agree with the person above me (again) about katniss. I don't think we need a super model here at all... not like selena gomez pretty... I think she should be someone who really captures the "unlikely hero" and the "she's beautiful, but you don't really notice it unless you know here well or if she's dressed REALLY nice" look.

ReplyDeleteOk. Now that we know some of the cast, I can say I actually like Josh Hutcherson as Peeta. I have not seen Winter's Bone so I cannot comment on who they picked for Katniss except to say I can't wait to see her with her hair black. Will be interesting. And the guy that's playing Gale is unknown to me and I'm totally ok with that.

I think peeta should be Austin Butler. I can really imagine him as peeta. And katniss I think should be Emma Roberts. But other than those I agree!!
